New Features
Export Class Code on GL Transactions | Accounting
For regulators with multiple designations, Alinity now supports the assignment of a Class Code to each designation. When a transaction is associated with a member in a designation that has a Class Code configured, that Class Code will automatically be applied to the corresponding General Ledger transaction. Class Codes are also included in QuickBooks exports, enabling organizations to track and report revenue by designation more effectively.
Feature Improvements
Inbound Email Received Time | Inbound Email
Alinity supports forwarding emails, including attachments, directly into the system. With this release, Alinity has been enhanced to display the date and time an email was received in the top-right corner when viewing a forwarded email.
Active Practice vs Full Practice | Registers
With this release, the “Is Full Practice” setting has been exposed on the register pages, giving administrators greater control over register configuration. The primary use case for this feature improvement is interim registers used during the application process, as individuals transition from new applicants to full practising status.
For example, a registrant on a provisional register may have “Practicing” enabled while “Full Practice” is disabled. This distinction enables more precise tracking of a registrant’s first date of active practice.
Bug Fixes
Case Event Notes | Cases
Previously, notes added to a case event were accessible only within the event itself and were not displayed in the case’s main Notes tab. This has been updated so that notes entered on case events are now properly reflected within the main Notes tab as well.
Competence Activity unit value with decimal point | Continuing Competence
Alinity allows administrators to add continuing competence activities to member profiles in bulk through the Continuing Competence tab. Previously, entering a decimal value for the unit amount would result in an error message. This has been updated, and unit values now support up to two decimal places. For example, a value of “1.25” can now be entered successfully.
Refund invoice display | Member Portal
Previously, when a member received a refund on an invoice, it was not immediately apparent which invoice the refund related to when viewing their invoice list in the portal. This has been updated to clearly indicate refunded invoices by displaying the word “Refund” in the invoice list, helping to eliminate any confusion.
