New Features
Exam Question Multi-Select | Online Exams
For many years, Alinity has offered the ability to host online multiple choice exams. With this release, we have expanded this functionality to support multi select questions. Multi select questions allow members to select more than one answer. For example, a question may ask members to “Choose all correct answers that apply.” When configuring an exam question, you will now see an option to enable “Multi-select”, along with the ability to identify multiple answer options as correct.
Exam Answer Order Randomization | Online Exams
With this release, we have added the ability to randomize answer choices for online exams. When enabled, each exam taker may see the answer choices for a particular question presented in a different order. You will now see a “Random answer order” option at the exam section level. When enabled, the answer choices for questions within that section will be presented in a randomized order.
Exam Section Randomization | Online Exams
With this release, we have added a new level above exam sections called Exam Topics. By default, an exam will contain a single topic, but the addition of the topic level also introduces the ability to randomize which sections are presented to each exam taker. For example, an exam topic may contain five sections, each with their own set of questions. If you want each exam taker to receive only two of those five sections, Alinity can now randomly select which two sections are presented.
This builds on the existing ability to create a randomized question bank within each section. You can now create a bank of sections within a topic, as well as a bank of questions within each section, providing greater flexibility in how randomized exams are configured.
Exam Question Tags | Online Exams
With this release, we have added the ability to assign tags to exam questions. The tags can be used to provide administrators with additional data to categorize exam questions and can be used to support more detailed reporting and analysis.
Risk Assessments | Online Exams
With this release, we have added the ability to configure risk assessment style exams. These exams allow each question to have an associated positive or negative weight, which contributes to the member’s overall score. At the end of the exam, members can view their final result, and a report summarizing the outcome can be automatically saved to their documents. System Admins can also access the individual exam results through the administrative portal for review and reporting purposes.
Bug Fixes
Back button broken on consultations export page | Consultations
Previously, if an administrator was on the Consultations page in Alinity and created an export, navigating back to the previous page using the Alinity back button from the Export page would result in an error message being displayed. This issue has now been resolved, and users can successfully return to the Consultations page without encountering an error.
Batch withdraw forms | Admin
Across multiple screens, Alinity allows administrators to perform batch actions to withdraw forms, such as outdated applications or open profile update forms. When completing a batch withdrawal, administrators can select a withdrawal reason and add an optional comment. Previously, if the comment contained an apostrophe, the batch withdrawal would fail. This issue has now been corrected, and comments containing apostrophes can be successfully saved during batch withdrawals.
Multi-Designation Corporation Registrations | Corporations
Previously, when an Alinity system was configured to support multiple designations for corporations, new registration forms were not always being correctly associated with the designation selected during the registration process. This issue has now been resolved, and forms will be properly attached to the applicable designation.
Admin initiated renewal option missing | Admin
Alinity allows administrators to manually initiate a renewal form on behalf of a member from the Registration tab within the member profile. Previously, the option to initiate a renewal form was not displaying in the user interface, preventing administrators from accessing this functionality. This issue has now been resolved, and the option is available as expected.
Next release
