Release Notes: January 2024

The January 2024 release of Alinity was deployed to Test environments on January 11th and was deployed to Production environments on January 18th. A summary of the changes included in this release appear below.

New Features

Time Entries | Admin

Time entries have been added to consultations. You can now track the time spent on a consultation by adding one or more time entries. You can also create general time entries through the time entry search screen to track and review time in a more general manner.

Feature Improvements 

GL account reassignment | Accounting

If an admin approves a registration with an effective date pegged for the next year, and then (prior to any payments) adjusts that approval to set the effective date into the current year, the system will automatically check for any deferred revenue codes in the invoice and automatically replace them with the normal GL code. The same rule applies in reverse to normal GL codes becoming deferred.

Registration effective dates for renewals | Renewal

The previous default behaviour of the system was that if a member was granted a late renewal, their registration on approval would be back-dated to the beginning of the registration year. The new default (only if paying for their renewal after the end of the registration year) is that their new registration will have the same effective date as their last payment date. The gap between their last license and the new one will be automatically filled with the register the College set as the default inactive practice register.

Bug Fixes

Declined audits now decline reviewers | Audit

If an admin marks an audit as rejected or declined, any incomplete reviews associated with the audit are also automatically rejected/declined as well now.

Adding allegations redirect error | Complaint

If an admin used the “add category” action on the allegations search screen, a redirect error would be encountered. This has been corrected and the admin will now be correctly redirected back to the search screen.

Invoice audit trail detail | Accounting

The audit shield button is now available on the Invoice detail screen allowing administrators to access the created by/time and last updated by/time fields.

Next release

The February 2024 release of Alinity is scheduled for deployment to production sites February 15th.
