Change List

Change Type Applies To
***************New Feature***************
Self Assessments Moving New Feature Assessments
Self-assessments will continue to exist distinctly from exams but are now managed through the exam feature. This simplifies working with assessments by including them in the exam search, provides access to the full-featured exam designer to use when creating self-assessments, and allows self-assessments to include dynamic content linked to specific registers and specializations. NOTE: If you are currently using self-assessments they continue to use the old system until your data is migrated. The help desk will set up a time to migrate your self-assessments data to the new structure.
Self Assessment Designer New Feature Assessments
Self-assessments can now be modified by administrators through the online exam designer. If you are starting new with self-assessments this is available now, otherwise, it will become available once your self-assessments are migrated to the new system by our Help Desk.  We expect these migrations to be completed over the next 60 days.
***************End of New Feature***************
***************Feature Update***************
Common Name Greeting Feature Update General
In the top-right menu, the user or member’s name will now be their common or preferred name if one is available.
Elavon Error Handling Feature Update Accounting
Enhancements were made to make some of the error messages to make them easier to understand,  and, to support multiple languages. Additionally, payments are marked as declined where appropriate instead of appearing as “cancelled”.
Paid exam registration Feature Update Assessments
The member dashboard widget for “My exams” now has been updated to include a separate section to Register for exams. Payment for exams is supported. The screen also shows how many seats remain available if the exam has limited capacity.
Display “Required” exams on the dashboard Feature Update Assessments
The member dashboard widget for “My exams” will now show exams required for renewal as “Required” instead of “Available” if it is required for the member to renew for the following year.
Adding online exam manually as administrator Feature Update Assessments
Administrators can now add an online exam manually for a member. This is intended to be used when a member has failed the exam over the allowed number of attempts. If the administrator gives the member a one-time exception to the rule the administrator can add the exam for them and it will appear on their member dashboard.
Cancelling exam offerings Feature Update Assessments
Exam offerings can now be cancelled which will cancel all exams tied to the offering. This is particularly useful during COVID where many exam sittings have been cancelled. Note that an exam offering can only be cancelled if results have not been recorded for any of the exams.
Record Time for Exams and Offerings Feature Update Assessments
The time can be recorded alongside the date for exams and exam offerings.
Custom Field Decimal Points Feature Update Administrator Module
Custom numeric fields can now be configured to support 0 to 3 decimal points of precision.
Exam Offerings in Online Designer Feature Update Assessments
The exam offerings in the online exam and self assessment designer now allow you to specify the time for effective and expiry. Also available is the ability to set a catalog item on an offering so that the exam has a fee charged to take it.
Forgot Password Disabled in Test Feature Update General
To enhance the security of the test environments the “Forgot Password” feature is no longer available. It remains available on all production systems, in order to test this feature you can run it in production using one of your administrator account’s emails. The ability to reset a password in the administrator module is still available for both systems. This change was made as part of ongoing efforts to keep Alinity’s security up to date.
***************End of Feature Update***************
***************Bug Fix***************
Phone # Formatting Bug Fix General
Phone numbers starting with 9 were improperly formatted and validated in some cases as the system was mistaking the first “9” as a dial-out direction.
Exam Import Record Details Bug Fix Assessments
In order to edit records from an exam import, a license to the Assessment module is required however the button to navigate to the record was still shown. This button is now removed preventing users from encountering an access denied page.
Exam Offering Delete Bug Fix Assessments
When an exam offering is deleted you are returned to the details of the exam instead of being given a “not found” error.
Audits Completed by Week Report Bug Fix Audit
The graph was not correctly rendering when the recordset was a single complete audit.
Custom Registrant Fields Bug Fix Administrator Portal
When creating a custom field if Registrant is enabled it will appear in the list of selectable entities now.
