New Features
Registrant Insurance Design | Admin
With this release we have made an update to the registrations tab of registrant profiles to now show insurance and insurance history in the user interface. This allows admins to easily view or update insurance records as required. If registrants update their insurance information via a profile update form, the insurance info will be updated in the new insurance section on their profile as well.
Corporation Insurance Design | Admin
Similar to the feature above, we have now made the tracking of corporation insurance available in the user interface as well. This can be seen on the Registrations tab of the corporation profile.
Configurable Admin Review Widgets | Admin
This release we have added 2 new widgets called “Org Admin Review Required” and “Registrant Admin Review Required.” These provide you with a visual of organization related forms waiting on administrative review and registrant related forms. The second piece to this is that the widgets are configurable, so you can select specifically which types of forms you would like to display such as applications, profile updates, renewals, case forms and more. This also means that if you had specific staff responsible for reviewing different types of forms they could each customize their own dashboard to only focus on those forms.
Feature Improvements
Mailinator email addresses | Admin Test System
With this release, we have replaced the Mailinator email address test system with a new in-house system called the “Email Sandbox” for sending emails to test email addresses. With the new sandbox system, you will now be able to easily click to access the test inbox right from the persons profile to view emails you’ve sent. Please also view this Knowledge Base article to learn more.
Interaction tracking | Consultations
The consultations module was upgraded this month to now support interactions in addition to other events. This is part of a broader improvement we are making to the consultations module by changing the underlying structure to be more aligned with what was created for cases. This means that an “interaction” can contain custom fields, forms, emails, documents and notes.
Multi-designation reinstatement display | Registrant Portal
In configurations where the designation feature is used, a registrant could potentially had multiple licenses (if allowed) that they need to renew. Therefore, they may also need to reinstate multiple licenses if they expire. If a registrant is reinstating 2 licenses and both workflows are in progress, they will now see each one labelled with the designation name from their dashboard so they can see which is which before clicking into them.
Verification of Registration (VOR) Forms Update | Admin
We have made an enhancement to the functionality of the VOR forms so that admins now have more control over the registration information. Previously, if a VOR form was in progress and an admin noticed something incorrect with the registration records, they were not able to delete the incorrect record without the helpdesk. Now, we have disassociated the VOR form from the registration record so that the registration record can be deleted as required even with a pending VOR form.
Bug Fixes
PAD GL Transactions not showing in UI | Accounting
Previously there was a bug where if a Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) transaction was processed, the General Ledger (GL) transactions were not appearing on the Payment page. They were however logged in reports and exports, just not in the user interface of the payment page. This has now been resolved.
Non-Sandbox Emails in CC field | Email
Prior to this release, it was possible that a real email address that was in the cc field of an email template could appear in the test system. Moving forward any emails that are in test must use the new sandbox format mentioned above.
Person-form renewals blocked | Renewal
Previously, if a registrant had a cancelled invoice, and the Alinity account was configured with person-form renewals, this could have lead to the registrant’s renewal being held for review. The reason for the review would have said “unpaid invoice” on the admin side. This has now been updated to that a cancelled invoice would no longer cause this behaviour.
Case-Type Roles | Cases
Previously, when attempting to modify an existing role within a case type—such as enabling the reporting toggle—your changes would not be saved. This issue has now been resolved.
Case Documents and Notes | Cases
Prior to this release, if notes or documents were added to case events, they were not appearing on the summary tabs of the case. This has not been updated.
Effective/Expiry Dates For Group Members | Groups
In a group, there is the option to provide effective and expiry dates to the individual people with in that group. If you were to click on that field, a date picker would pop-up (mini-calendar), however if you previously tried to free type the date you wanted, the system would have stopped you after the 8th character (stopped at 2025-01-). This has now been corrected.
“Save for Later” | Reviewer Forms
Previously the “Save for later” button was hardcoded not to appear on reviewer forms. However, this has now be updated so that a “Save for later” button is now optional to show or not show on reviewer forms depending on the requirements of the individual regulator.
Term-based renewal blocked by registration schedule | Term Permits
There were some cases previously where a term-based license renewal would be held for review due to the annual registration year being closed even though a term-based license should be independent of the annual license schedule. This now been updated to work off of the term-based licenses expiry date instead of the annual registration year.
